Connect Engine Scan Tool VAG 1551 and check Part No. of installed engine ECM.

must be Part No. 8AO 907 404H

If NOT, replace ECM with Part No. 8A0 907 404H

Connect Engine Scan Tool VAG 1551 and check Part No. of installed engine ECM. Also visually check ECM for color code.

Note 
Since tester printouts tend to fade, make a photocopy of the printout and attach to repair order hard copy for future reference. Identify removed Engine
Control Modules (ECM) with a completely filled out Warranty parts tag and return ECM to your Parts Department for shipment to VWoA Warranty
Parts Test Center.
