The windshield circumference is covered by a plastic molding which is attached to the windshield prior to installation into the vehicle. This molding is
fitted over the windshield edge which allows a visible overhang of approximately 10 mm. The subject overhang does not lay tightly on the surface of the
glass causing a small gap between the windshield surface and the molding. At speeds greater than 45 MPH this gap causes unacceptable levels of wind
noise inside the vehicle. The following procedure will significantly reduce interior wind noise at speeds greater than 45 MPH.

GAP SEALING PROCEDURE

1.

Clean all dirt and/or debris from the windshield circumference.

2.

Using a small flat blade screwdriver, carefully remove any trapped dirt from between the windshield surface and the plastic molding
overhang.

3.

Seal the subject gap with clear or black silicone sealant. Insert a small screwdriver between the windshield and the molding in order to
temporarily widen the gap. Carefully slide the screwdriver along the area to be sealed injecting the silicone behind the screwdriver. Sealant
should be applied across the top of the windshield and along both "A" pillars.

4.

Carefully remove excess sealant from the glass and molding (No sealant should be visible when the procedure is completed).

Note:

Allow the silicone sealant to fully cure prior to driving the vehicle.
