If the Engine Control Module (ECM), the throttle valve control module, or the electronic gas activation has been replaced, the kick-down shift point
must be relearned.
Test condition
-
Ignition switched on, engine not running
-
There must not be any DTCs stored in DTC memory, Check DTC memory.

Selector lever of automatic transmission must be in "P" or "N".
Test sequence

Connect V.A.G 1551 scan tool (VAG 1552). Switch ignition on and select Engine Control Module (ECM) using address word 01. Refer to Scan

Display: kick-down ERROR
