Place selector lever in position "3".

^

First check whether a coded radio is installed. If this is the case obtain the anti-theft coding.

^

Disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap with ignition switched off.

^

Remove selector lever handle.

^

Remove center console and extension.

^

Remove steering wheel with airbag.

^

Remove steering column switches.

^

Turn ignition key to run position (ignition on).

^

Place selector lever in position "P".

^

Release interlock lever and pull locking cable - 1 - from ignition/starter switch.

^

Remove cover.

^

Unclip locking cable from securing spring at selector mechanism housing, slightly lift up securing spring to do so.

^

Loosen and remove locking cable from cable clip - 2 -.
