Handle with black plastic part, installing

Place selector lever in position "3".

^

Pull out press button - 2 - from handle - 3 -only as far until pull lever - arrow - hangs downward. 

Installation position: Button facing driver.

Now press handle onto selector lever up to stop. 

^

Continue to pull press button out and guide cable lever - arrow - into handle. 

^

Press the press button to secure pull lever in pull-rod - 4 -. Button must now spring back to stop again. 

^

Slide sleeve - 1 - upward. - Place selector lever in position "P".

Removing

First check whether a coded radio is installed. If this is the case obtain the anti-theft coding.

Place selector lever in position "P".

^

Disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap with ignition switched off.

^

Remove selector lever handle.

^

Remove center console and extension.

^

Remove cover.

^

Disconnect electrical harness connectors.

^

Unclip locking cable from locking lever and from securing spring at selector mechanism, slightly lift up securing spring to do so.

^

Raise vehicle.

^

Remove front exhaust pipe with catalytic converter if necessary.

^

Unbolt propshaft from transmission and tie up or support.

^

Remove cover from selector mechanism housing - arrows -.
