Continuation for all vehicles

Remove cover from left wheel housing, if present (arrows).

-

Remove left protective plate for axle shaft (arrows). Third bolt cannot be seen in picture.

-

Disconnect left axle shaft -1- from transmission.

Vehicles with 4-cylinder engine or 6-cylinder Diesel engine 

-

Remove bolt (arrow) and pull out slave cylinder toward rear.

Note:  Do not depress clutch pedal.

Vehicles with 8-cyl. injection engine 

-

Remove bolt (arrow -2-) and pull out slave cylinder with heat shield (arrow -1- toward rear.

-

Remove heat shield from slave cylinder.
