Service release bearing with plastic ring
For release bearings with plastic ring it is possible that the plastic ring disengages from the release bearing when removing the transmission or release
bearing.
Therefore, the release bearing does not need to be replaced.
^
Before installing transmission, adhere loose plastic ring to bearing ring using adhesive AMV 195 KD1 01.
3 rectangular tabs - arrows - of the plastic ring reach into the cutouts of the bearing ring.
If the grooves in the contact surface of the plastic ring are deeper than 0.8 mm, the release bearing must be replaced.
