1. Slave cylinder

^

Do not operate clutch pedal after removal.

^

Tighten bleeder valve to 4 Nm.

2. Socket head bolt, 20 Nm

Slave cylinder at transmission

^

Self-locking

^

Always replace

3. Bracket

^

For hose/line assembly

^

Secured to slave cylinder on transmission

4. Plunger

^

Coat end of plunger with copper grease

5. Curved washer

^

Small diameter facing guide sleeve (convex side)

6. Seal for input shaft

^

Pull out of guide sleeve using pry lever VW 681

^

Drive in up to stop using driving sleeve VW 192

7. Inner Torx bolt, 35 Nm

^

Self-locking

^

Always replace

8. Release bearing

^

Do not wash, only wipe off

^

Replace noisy bearings

^

Repairing release bearing with bonded plastic ring
