Installing

Coat outer circumference and sealing lips of sealing ring with axle oil. 

^

Fill area between sealing lip and dust lip halfway with sealing grease G052128A1. 

Installation position: The open side of the sealing ring faces the transmission.

Drive new seal in as far as the stop; be sure not to distort seal. 

^

Install right flanged shaft.

^

Screw in bolt for flanged shaft - arrow - and secure against turning using a drift.

Install right drive axle - 1 -.

All vehicles

Install shielding plate/drive axle - arrows - on right side. Third bolt is not visible in the illustration.
