Fluid - M/T: Service and Repair
01A, 5 SPD. M/T (AWD)
Gear oil, checking, 01A, 5 SPD. M/T (AWD)
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
Socket wrench insert 3357
Torque wrench V.A.G. 1331
Gear oil level is checked when transmission has been installed.

Remove bolt for checking transmission fluid.
Oil level is correct when final drive is filled up to lower edge of oil filler hole.

Screw in bolt.
When filling again, note the following:

Remove bolt.
^
Top off transmission fluid to lower edge of oil filler hole.
^
Screw in bolt.
Tightening torque
Screw for oil filler hole: 25 Nm
