Drive Belt: Removal and Replacement
Ribbed belt, removing and installing
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Mandrel T10060A
Removing
Note: Before removing the ribbed belt, mark the running direction.

Remove intake manifold cover.

Mark direction of rotation of ribbed belt.

Swing tensioning roller on hex-bolt in direction of arrow. When both holes - arrows - are aligned, secure tensioning roller using mandrel T10060A
when lock carrier is in service position or when engine is removed. See: Body and Frame/Lock Carrier/Service and Repair/Procedures/Lock

Remove ribbed belt and release tensioning roller.
Installing
Note:

Ensure, before installing ribbed belt, that all ancillaries (Generator, air conditioning compressor, power steering pump) are secured tightly.

When installing the ribbed belt observe belt direction of rotation and that the belt is seated correctly in the belt pulleys.

Lay ribbed belt onto belt pulleys, except on belt pulley for power steering pump, and hold ribbed belt tightly upward.
