Secure container of ATF filler tool V.A.G1924 to vehicle.
^
For vehicles with auxiliary heater, remove bolts - arrows - from exhaust pipe at noise insulation.
^
Remove noise insulation - arrows A and B -.
^
For vehicles with noise insulation - D -, remove bolts - arrows C -.
^
Connect diagnostic operation system VAS5051 A.
^
Connect tester VAS5051 A using diagnostic cable VAS5051/1 or VAS5051/3 to Data Link Connector (DLC) with ignition switched off and
advance program until "Function-/component selection" is displayed.
^
Then press "Powertrain (Repair Group 01; 10 to 26; 28 to 39)".
^
After that, press "5 Spd. Automatic Transmission 01V.
^
Press "Functions".
^
Press "Check ATF level".
^
Press -> button.
At start of test, ATF temperature must not be more than 30°C.
^
Start engine.
^
Raise vehicle.
^
Place drip tray V.A.G. 1306 underneath.
^
Press -> button.
