Note:

The fuel level sending unit will need to be turned slightly clockwise for removal. Also, this is a tight fit with minimal clearance for removal. Reinsert
fuel level sending unit several times to learn removal and install prior to installing new fuel level sending unit.

Carefully install new fuel level sending unit -2- (3B0 201 317P) and new seal (6N0 919 133).

CAUTION!

Do not bend float arm of fuel level sending unit.

While inserting sender, turn slightly clockwise on its own axis.

Hold fuel level sending unit above the fuel tank, install new seal onto the fuel tank and insert the fuel level sending unit into the seal.

Note:

Arrow in illustration references front of vehicle.

Prior to installing the nut, make certain the fuel level sending unit is in the correct position; the arrow -2- on the sender MUST be aligned with the
arrow -1- on the fuel tank.
