Disconnect hose to VAG1433A fuel cart and reconnect fuel feed line to fuel sending unit.
^
Reinstall fuel pump fuse # 28 in relay panel.
^
Start and run engine for approximately 15 minutes.
Note:
The fuel from the left chamber of the fuel tank will be siphoned into the right chamber of the fuel tank.

Switch ignition OFF.
^
Remove fuel pump fuse # 28 from the fuse panel (left row, fifth large fuse from the top).
^
Reconnect VAG1348/3 remote switch with VAG1348/3-2 adapter to holder for fuel pump fuse # 28.
^
Reconnect test probe to battery positive voltage (B+).
^
Remove fuel feed hose -1 - from right front fuel level sending unit -G- and connect to VAG1433A fuel cart or similar approved equipment.
Note:
Fuel hose should be marked for reassembly.

Operate remote switch and pump fuel into fuel cart until fuel has stopped flowing.
^
Switch OFF VAG 1348/3 remote switch and remove VAG1348/3-2 adapter from fuel pump fuse holder # 28.
^
Remove test probe from battery positive voltage (B+).
^
Disconnect and remove fuel hose from VAG1433A fuel cart.
^
Obtain radio code and record radio preset stations.
