Wheel Speed Sensor: Service and Repair
Components of ABS System on Rear Axle (Vehicles With AWD)

Components of ABS system on rear axle (vehicles with All Wheel Drive), removing and installing
1 - Drive shaft with rotor

Check for damaged or dirty rotor

2 - ABS speed sensor

Before inserting sensor, clean inner surface and coat with lubricating paste G 000 650

3 - Sealing cuff
4 - Clamping sleeve

^

Always replace

^

Left and right hand identical

^

Coat circumference with grease, before inserting into wheel housing G 000 650

^

Push into wheel bearing housing up to stops

5 - Wheel bearing/hub module
6 - Hex bolt

^

Always replace each time after removing

Removing and installing speed sensor on rear axle (vehicles with All Wheel Drive) 
Removing

Remove rear seat.
