Selector Mechanism Cover

Assembly Overview

Selector mechanism cover (assembly overview), disassembling and assembling 

1. Trim molding

With trim plate and symbol panel

-

Available only as complete unit

2. Cover strip

-

With 2 solenoids -arrows- for Tiptronic switch -F189- and gear indicator

-

Solenoids must be securely mounted to cover strip

3. Guide

Guides the cover strip

Removing and Installing

Selector mechanism, removing and installing 

Removing 
-

Remove selector lever handle.

-

Pull up pull rod and hold in this position while shifting selector lever into position "P".

-

Switch off ignition.

-

Remove central console.

-

Carefully lever off retaining tabs -arrows A- (Qty. 4) from above.
