Rear Knuckle: Service and Repair

Wheel bearing housing (aluminum) and control arm, servicing

Note:  If a vehicle has to be moved after removing the drive shaft, install an outer joint instead of a drive shaft and tighten to 50 Nm. Otherwise the 
wheel bearing will become damaged.

1. Brake caliper

Servicing

2. Bonded rubber mounting

^ Removing and installing

3. Wheel bearing housing

Aluminum

4. Multipoint socket head bolt 80 Nm + turn 90° further 

^

Replace each time after removing

5. Washer
6. Self-locking nut, 95 Nm

^& Replace each time after removing

7. Eccentric washer
8. Eccentric bolt
9. Brake disc

10. Hex socket head bolt
11. Hub
12. Wheel bearing
