Inspect center fuel line to ensure flare joint is positioned to the right and outside of bracket

If flare joint is visible outside of bracket approximately 1mm to the right, work is complete

If flare joint is not visible outside of bracket approximately 1mm to the right, proceed to Section C

Section C - Fuel Line Foam Block Removal and Bracket Clipping

(2001-2005 1.8T vehicles)

Remove air filter housing

-

Remove and discard insulating foam -circle- located below air filter housing

-

Close connector at rear wall

-

Check to see if flare joint is now visible outside bracket
-

If not visible outside bracket, carefully pull fuel line to the right to move flare joint outside of bracket

-

Close bracket near air filter
