Steering Angle Sensor: Service and Repair

Vehicles with Electronic Stability Program (ESP)

Vehicles with ESP are also equipped with steering angle sensor -G85-. It is installed together with the collector and return ring in a housing.

Front wheels and steering wheel must be in straight ahead position

Place front wheels in straight ahead position and remove steering wheel.

Position steering wheel sensor in center position.

In the hole -1- a yellow dot must be visible.

The markings (arrows) must align.

Carefully loosen four fastening clips (arrows) and remove sensor for steering angle in steering column direction.
