The four retaining tabs -arrows B-, visible from above, must not be removed from the printed circuit. The printed circuit will otherwise be damaged.
If the retaining tabs are damaged -arrows A or B-, replace complete cover.

Remove complete selector mechanism cover upward.

Press in release tab -arrow A- on connector -1- and pull connector out of cover -2- in direction of arrow -B-.

Installing 
Install in reverse order of removal but note following:

Push connector-1- in opposite direction of arrow -B- in cover -2- before engaging in selector mechanism.
