Rain Sensor: Service and Repair

Rain Sensor -G213-, Removing And Installing

Removing

-

Remove interior rear-view mirror (with rain sensor)

-

Unclip cable guide -arrows 1- and remove.

-

Separate rain sensor -1- from mirror mounting -2-.

-

Remove interior light.

-

Remove center sun visor.

-

Separate electrical connection for rain sensor (under interior light) and pull harness out from under headliner towards windshield.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

NOTE:

-

Rain sensors must always be replaced after removal. Do not reuse. Removal of sensor from mirror mounting damages mounting adhesive and
subsequently affects proper function of sensor.

Prior to installing sensor, thoroughly clean mounting surface (must be free from all residue and particles).
