Clutch Pedal Assembly: Service and Repair
Clutch Pedal Spring

WARNING:  Always replace circlips and self-locking nuts and bolts

CAUTION:  On vehicles with an anti-theft radio, make sure you know the radio activation code before disconnecting the battery.

NOTE:

Disconnect the battery Ground (GND) strap.

Lubricate all bearing and contact surfaces with MoS2 lubricant.

^

Before starting work on the pedal cluster, remove the instrument panel lower left trim panel, refer to Body and Frame.

^

Follow General repair instructions.

Locking clip

Pivot pin for clutch pedal

Knock out with drift

Mounting bushing

Check for wear, replace if necessary

Drive out with drift 3121 

-

Press in by clamping in vice, use vice clamps

Clutch pedal

Removing and installing, refer to Replacement. See:

Retainer

Clutch master cylinder operating rod

Gasket

Always replace

Self-locking hex nut

Always replace

Tighten to: 25 Nm (18 ft lbs)

Supply hose

Over-center spring

Install in mounting bracket
