Hydraulic Unit, Vacuum Brake Booster & Brake Master Cylinder

Hydraulic unit, vacuum brake booster and brake master cylinder, servicing 

Note:  
-

ABS control module (6) and hydraulic unit -N55- (8) are not supplied individually at present. Therefore, they must be replaced as an assembly

1. Brake booster
2. Spring
3. Self-locking nut

-

9 Nm (80 inch lbs.) 

4. Threaded stud
5. Rubber damper
6. Control module
7. T 20 torx bolt,

-

8 Nm (71 inch lbs.) 

8. ABS hydraulic unit -N55-

-

Note different versions: ABS front wheel drive ABS/EDL front and four wheel drive.

9. Brake line connection

-

Hydraulic unit -N55- to right front brake caliper

10. Brake line connection

-

Hydraulic unit to left front brake caliper

11. Brake line

-

Master brake cylinder/secondary piston circuit to hydraulic unit

12. Brake line

-

Brake master cylinder/primary piston circuit to hydraulic unit

13. Brake line connection

-

Hydraulic unit -N55- to left rear wheel cylinder/caliper

14. Brake line connection

-

Hydraulic unit to right rear wheel cylinder/caliper

15. Retainer
16. Hex bolt

-

9 Nm (80 inch lbs.) 

17. Retainer
18. -T 45 torx bolt

-

25 Nm (18 lbs.)
