Parking Brake Cable: Service and Repair

Parking brake cables, removing and installing 

Special tools required 

Removing 
-

Remove both rear wheels.

-

Remove heat shield (1).

-

Remove retaining nuts on heat shield (2) and slide heat shield forward,

-

Remove locking element -D-.

-

Screw adjusting nut -C- in onto stop, counter hold with a 13 mm wrench -E-.

-

Slide cable adjustment together.

-

Remove securing clip -1- and unhook parking brake cable from caliper.

Note:  Be careful not to damage parking brake boot when removing and installing.
