Remove bolt from rear support -arrow-.

-

Remove injection pump.

Installing

-

Insert injection pump into console and then tighten mounting bolt on rear support using conical nut first.

-

Insert front securing bolts and tighten

-

25 Nm (18 ft lb)

-

Install bolts for mounting injection pump sprocket to hub but do not tighten.

-

Align injection pump sprocket to central position in elongated holes.

-

Lock injection pump sprocket with pin 3359.

-

The pin bore must have a gap of (approx. 3 mm) to the hub.

-

Loosen camshaft sprocket mounting bolt a half turn.

-

Place a drift through hole in the rear of the toothed belt guard and release the camshaft sprocket from camshaft taper with a gentle blow from a
hammer.

-

Take off camshaft sprocket.

-

Check whether TDC mark on flywheel and reference mark are aligned.

-

Place tooth belt on injection pump sprocket and tensioning roller.

-

Fit camshaft sprocket into toothed belt and secure sprocket so that the camshaft can still turn.

-

Install idler roller.

-

Tension toothed belt using pin wrench (e.g. Matra V159) on eccentric turning clockwise until notch and raised mark align -arrows-.
