Shift Cable: Testing and Inspection

Selector lever cable, checking and adjusting 

Checking 
-

Move selector lever into "P" position.

-

Remove selector lever cable from selector shaft lever (arrow).

Move selector lever from "P" to "2"

Mechanism and selector lever cable must move freely. If necessary replace selector lever cable or service shift mechanism.

Move selector lever into "P" position.

Move selector shaft lever to " P" The parking lock should engage and it should not be possible to turn the two front wheels in the same direction.

It should be possible to push the selector lever cable onto the selector shaft lever. Adjust selector lever cable if necessary.
