Throttle Cable/Linkage: Service and Repair
Accelerator Pedal Linkage Service and Repair

1 - Throttle cable mounting

- On bulkhead in plenum chamber
- Removing and installing See Fig. 1 below

2 - Throttle cable mounting

- On bulkhead
- Only vehicles with manual transmission

3 - Retaining clip

- Manual transmission Only
- Ensure it is seated securely
- Secured behind bulkhead

4 - Retaining clip

- Automatic transmission Only
- Ensure it is seated securely
- Secured before bulkhead

5 - Kickdown switch F8

- Automatic transmission Only
- On bulkhead

6 - 2-pin harness connector

- Black

7 - Accelerator cable

- Do not reuse damaged accelerator cable, replace

8 - Cable cam

- On throttle valve control part

9 - 10 Nm (7 ft lb)

10 - Support bracket

- For accelerator cable

11 - Retainer

- Throttle cable

12 - Accelerator pedal
13 - Mounting bracket
14 - Accelerator pedal stop

- Installed position of accelerator pedal stop on mounting bracket
