HS = Manual transmission, AT = Automatic transmission

D03 = Program level number

Coding xxxxx = ECM coding, table

WSC xxxxx = VAG 1551 Workshop code
If factory coding has not been changed, WSC 00000 appears

NOTES:  Replace ECM if displayed ECM version does not correspond to the vehicle.

An incorrectly coded Engine Control Module leads to:
-

Increased levels of exhaust emissions

-

Engine running malfunctions (gear shift jerking, load change jerks, etc.)

Increased fuel consumption

-

Malfunctions stored in DTC memory that have not actually occurred.

Functions will not be performed (Oxygen sensor control EVAP system activation, etc.).

Reduced transmission life

If the coding differs from the vehicle version
