Rear Brake Adjustment Releasing

2. Insert screwdriver though bolt hole as illustrated.
3. Push adjusting wedge upward to allow shoes to retract away from drum.
4. Remove grease cap.
5. Remove cotter pin, lock ring and wheel bearing nut.
6. Pull drum from stub axle.
7. Remove wheel bearing seal and inner and outer wheel bearings. Refer to Transmission and Drivetrain.

Installation

Installation is the reverse of removal.

Adjust wheel bearings. Refer to Transmission and Drivetrain.

With vehicle stationary, apply brakes firmly to allow adjuster wedges to position.
