CAUTION:  The oil level must not exceed the maximum mark on the dipstick or there is danger of damage to the catalytic convertor.

COMPONENT NOTES 

Gasket (2)

Replace if damaged.

Dipstick (3) 
-

The oil level must not be above the maximum mark, service as follows:
-

Oil level in area above shaded zone up to max. mark: DO NOT TOP UP WITH ENGINE OIL!

Oil level in shaded zone: Engine oil can be topped up.

-

Oil level in area from the minimum mark up to the shaded zone: Top-up engine oil

Guide (4)

Remove to suck out oil.

0.3 bar Oil Pressure Switch (5) 
-

Tighten to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). 

Banjo Bolt (6) 
-

Tighten to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). 

Oil Seal (7) 
-

Always replace.

Oil Pressure Switch (9) 
-

Tighten to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). 

Bolt (11) 
-

25Tighten to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). 

Gasket (12) 
-

Always replace.

O-ring (13) 
-

Always replace.

Oil Cooler (14) 
-

Coat contact area to flange, outside the seal, with AMV 188 100 02. or equivalent.

-

Ensure clearance to adjacent components.

Nut (15) 
-

25Tighten to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). 

Oil Filter (16) 
-

Loosen with strap wrench.

-

Tighten by hand.

-

Note any installation instructions on filter.

Oil Pump Cover With Oil Pressure Relief Valve (18) 
-

Opening pressure: 5.7-6.7 bar (83-97 psi). 

Bolt (19) 
-

Tighten to: 10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.). 

Oil Pan (20) 
-

Clean sealing surface before installing.

Oil Pan Drain Plug (21) 
-

Tighten to: 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.). 

Oil Pan Bolts (22) 
-

Tighten to: 10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.). 

Gasket (23) 
-

Always replace.
