Fuel Filter Servicing

Fuel filter, replacing

Note:  Do not allow diesel fuel to contact coolant hoses. Wipe any diesel fuel off hoses immediately and wash hoses with soap and water. Observe
prescribed fuel and filter disposal instructions! 

Removing:

Remove retaining clip -5-
Remove control valve with fuel lines connected
Remove fuel hoses from hose connections -1- and -2-
Direction of flow is indicated by arrows
Do not reverse connections

Installing:

Install control valve with fuel lines connected
Use new O-ring
Attach retaining clip -5-.
Push fuel hoses over hose connections -1- and -2- and secure hoses with hose clamps.
Check fuel system for leaks (visual inspection).
Rev engine several times and let idle.
Fuel flow through transparent hose must be free of bubbles.
