Using a Heat gun set at its lowest setting, heat the shear bolt for approx. 20 to 25 seconds.

Using locking pliers, remove the shear bolts - 2 -. Discard used shear bolts.

Disconnect the Heated Windshield Control Module (J505) electrical harness connector - 1 -.

Remove the locking plate - 1 -.

Disconnect the Motronic Engine Control Module (ECM) (J623) electrical harness connectors - 1 -.
