Remove steering column cover -arrows-.

-

Disconnect 6-pin connector -arrow- from Throttle Position (TP) Sensor.

Checking voltage supply 

-

Switch ignition on.

-

Connect multimeter with test leads to the following terminals connector for voltage measurement.

Terminal 1 + Ground (GND)
Terminal 1 + 5
Terminal 2 + Ground (GND)
Terminal 2 + 3

Specified value: at least 4.5 V

Switch ignition off.

If there is no malfunction in voltage supply:

-

Check wires to Engine Control Module (ECM) according to wiring diagram.

Checking wires to Engine Control Module (ECM)

Connect test box to 94-pin connector of wiring harness. See: Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics/Component Tests
(VAG Code Tests)/Test Box, Connecting For Wiring Test

Engine Control Module (ECM) is not connected.
