Test requirements

Fuses on E-box in engine compartment, left side, must be OK:
NOTE: Fuses on this fuse holder are labelled "SB" in the wiring diagram.

Battery voltage must be at least 11.5 Volts.
-
All electrical consumers such as, lights and rear window defroster must be switched off.
-
Ground (GND) connections to transmission must be OK.
-
Selector lever must be in -P- position.
-
Ignition switched off.
Test sequence
Observe safety precautions.
Observe rules for cleanliness.

Disconnect 14-pin connector -A- on transmission.
-
Check harness connector for contact corrosion and ingress of water.
If harness connector is not OK:
-
Repair the malfunction.

Erase DTC memory of Transmission Control Module (TCM).
-
Generate readiness code.
If harness connector is OK:
-
Check resistance of solenoid valves.
