Oil Pan Lower Section, Installing with Solid Gasket

Special Tools and Workshop Equipment Required

Torque Wrench -V.A.G 1331-

Procedure

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

NOTE:

Always Replace Gaskets and Seals. 

CAUTION!!

A new molded seal must be installed on engines that were originally equipped with one on the oil pan lower section.

Clean the sealing surfaces before installing the oil pan lower section. 

-

Set lower part of oil pan in place and fasten all bolts in diagonal sequence to 5 Nm. 

-

Fasten bolts for lower part of oil pan in a diagonal sequence. 

-

Install stabilizer Refer to:

-

Add engine oil and check oil level.
