8. Brake carrier with guide pins and protective caps

Supplied as replacement part assembled with greased guide pins

Front Caliper Piston, Removing and Installing

Front caliper piston, removing and installing 

Special tools required 

Removing 

-

Push piston out of brake caliper housing with compressed air.

CAUTION:  Place a wooden block in the caliper to prevent damage to the piston.

Remove seal using plastic wedge 3409 or equivalent.

CAUTION:  When removing, use care to ensure that the cylinder bore is not damaged.

Installing 
-

Clean piston surface and seal with clean solvent only.

-

Thinly coat piston and seal with lubricant G 052 150 A2 before installing.

-

Place protective seal with outer sealing lip on piston.
