Power steering system, assembly overview (Vehicles with 6-cyl. engine)
If the power steering system is malfunctioning determine the cause using pressure tests and leakage tests. If a malfunction exists, then replace the
faulty component.
Notes:

If reservoir fluid level is low then check steering system for leaks.

If leaks occur at line connections first tighten connections, then wipe dry and recheck for leaks.

Pumps supplied as replacement parts are not filled with fluid. The pump must be filled with hydraulic fluid, Part No. G 002 000 and rotated by
hand or the pump may become damaged or noisy during operation.

System capacity: 0.7 - 0.9 liter (0.74 - 0.95 qt.)

4. Cap with dip stick
5. Strainer
6. 9 Nm (7 ft. lbs.)
7. Fluid reservoir
8. Rubber mounting
9. Clamp
