Heater Core Case: Service and Repair
Disassembly and Assembly

Without A/C

Heater, Disassembling And Assembling 

The air distribution housing and its components. The fresh-air blower can be reached by removing the glovebox.

Virtually any other work on components of the air distribution housing, including the heater core or the A/C evaporator, requires discharging the A/C
system, draining the engine coolant, and removing the instrument panel.See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Instrument Panel/Dash
Board/Service and Repair

1 - Gasket
2 - Heat exchanger

Gasket must be glued all around and free of gaps.

If catches do not engage, secure heat exchanger with screws.

3 - Air distributor

-

Do not disassemble further.

4 - Clamp
5 - Main shut-off flap

Only in vehicles without A/C

6 - Air duct with main shut-off flap

Do not disassemble further.
