Apply brakes (second person necessary).

CAUTION!

Lower vehicle if necessary, but not far enough to let the wheels touch the ground or the wheel bearing will be damaged.

Tighten 12-point nut to 200 Nm (148 ft.lb), then loosen one turn.

Tighten 12-point nut to 50 Nm (37 ft.lb).

-

Mark 12-point nut with a line at one of points -arrow A-.

Mark a second line on edge of wheel hub above next point on nut -arrow B-.

Note:

The distance from one point to the next on the 12-point nut is equivalent to 30°.

Tighten 12-point nut further until marked points align.
