Remove Knee Bar

Open Cover. See: Removal and Installation/Passengers Side Air Bag/Opening Cover

Remove Airbag Unit. See: Removal and Installation/Passengers Side Air Bag

Cut off connector -1- to airbag unit (vehicle side) and connect with igniter device from VAG 1821.

-

Connect connector -1- to connector -2- on airbag.

-

Install airbag unit.

-

Route igniter wiring through door gap toward front of vehicle and connect to external battery.

-

Minimum safe distance from vehicle is 10 meters (33 feet).

-

Activate Airbag Unit.

Dispose of unit as scrap,
