Rear Lid

Rear Lid Hinge

‹› Removal and installation is described for left hinge. The same instructions apply for removal and installation for the right hinge.

Removing

-

Remove rear shelf. 

-

Remove the left luggage compartment trim panel

-

Remove the rear lid.

-

Remove the gas-filled strut - 7 - from hinge -  1 -. Refer to => [ Gas Strut ]. See: Service and Repair/Rear Lid/Gas Strut

Remove the seal around the hinge. Refer to => [ Hinge Gasket Assembly Overview ] See: Service and Repair/Rear Lid Overview

Disconnect harness connectors - 6 - and guide electrical wires out of hinge - 1 -.

-

Remove the screws - 3 - and remove the hinge -  1 - through the openings in the rear shelf - 4 - and the sealing channel- 5 -.
