Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Engine Support Bridge (10 - 222 A)

‹› Refractometer (T10007)

‹› Drip Tray for VAS 6100 (VAS 6208)

‹› Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) (V.A.G 1331)

‹› Torque Wrench (40-200 Nm) (V.A.G 1332)

‹› Spring Type Clip Pliers (VAS 5024 A)

Removing

-

Remove the noise insulation.

-

Remove the pendulum support.

-

Drain the coolant. Refer to => [ Draining and Filling ] See: Service and Repair/Procedures/Draining and Filling.

Remove the ribbed belt. Refer to => [ Ribbed Belt ] See: Engine/Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive Belt/Service and
Repair/Ribbed Belt.

Install the (10 - 222 A) with (10 - 222 A/1) as shown and support the engine in the installed position at the right lifting eye.

Remove the engine mount to engine mount bracket bolts -  arrows -.
