CAUTION!
When doing any repair work, especially in the engine compartment, pay attention to the following due to clearance issues:

‹› Route all lines and wires in their original locations.

‹› Make sure the wires have enough clearance to all moving or hot components.

CAUTION!
Follow the safety measures for releasing the high side pressure. Refer to => [ High Side Pressure, Releasing ] See: Powertrain
Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Tank/Service and Repair/Procedures/High Side Pressure, Releasing.

Disconnect the battery Ground (GND) cable with ignition turned off.

Remove the noise insulation.

Remove the upper intake manifold. Refer to => [ Upper Intake Manifold ]. See: Removal and Installation/Upper Intake Manifold

Remove the high pressure pump. Refer to => [ High Pressure Pump ]. See: Removal and Installation/High Pressure Pump

Remove the fuel rail connecting pipe - arrows -.

Remove the lower intake manifold to cylinder head bolts -  arrows -.
