Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) (G39)

‹› 50 Nm

‹› Bank 1, sensor 1.

‹› Installed in the exhaust gas stream of cylinders 1, 2 and 3.

‹› Lubricate the threads only with (G 052 112 A3); do not let (G 052 112 A3) get onto the slits of the oxygen sensor body.

‹› Removing and installing, refer to => [ Heated Oxygen Sensor and Heated Oxygen Sensor 2 ] See: Powertrain Management/Computers and

Control Systems/Oxygen Sensor/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Heated Oxygen Sensor and Heated Oxygen Sensor 2.

Oxygen Sensor (O2S) 2 Behind Three Way Catalytic Converter (TWC) (G131)

‹›  50 Nm

‹› Bank 2, sensor 2.

‹› Installed in the exhaust gas stream of cylinders 4, 5 and 6.

‹› Lubricate the threads only with (G 052 112 A3); do not let (G 052 112 A3) get onto the slits of the oxygen sensor body.

‹› Use ring spanner 7-piece set (3337) for removal and installation.

Oxygen Sensor (O2S) Behind Three Way Catalytic Converter (TWC) (G130)

‹› 50 Nm

‹› Bank 1, sensor 2.

‹› Installed in the exhaust gas stream of cylinders 1, 2 and 3.

‹› Grease the thread only with (G 052 112 A3); do not let the (G 052 112 A3) get onto the slits of the oxygen sensor body.

‹› Use ring spanner 7-piece set (3337) for removal and installation.
