Hella Low Beam Bulb

‹› Left Low Beam Headlamp (M29) and Right Low Beam Headlamp (M31) can be checked via output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) of Vehicle

Electrical System Control Module (J519).

Removing:

-

Switch ignition and all electrical consumers off and disengage the key or ignition switch in position 0 (ignition off).

‹› During removal and installation, leave ignition key with remote control inside the vehicle to prevent the doors from locking and possibly activating

the Coming Home / Leaving Home functions on its own.

‹› In order to remove the low beam bulb, it may be necessary to remove some components in order to gain access.

‹› Refer to the following tables as to which components are to be removed depending on engine version, in order to replace the low beam headlamp.

No additional work required.

‹› Replacing the low beam headlamp bulb in a right headlamp is shown in the following illustrations.

‹› Replacing a left low beam headlamp bulb and a right low beam headlamp bulb is identical.

Pull off cover cap - 1 -.

-

Remove the lamp socket with Low Beam Headlamp - 1 - in -  direction of arrow - and take it out of headlamp as far as wire lengths permit.
