Transmission Position Switch/Sensor: Service and Repair

Multifunction Transmission Range Switch

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) (V.A.G 1331)

Removing

-

Place the selector lever in the "N" position.

-

Turn the ignition off.

-

Do not open the cooling system.

-

Press the selector lever cable lock - 3 - together and pull the selector lever cable upward out of the bracket.

-

Remove the selector lever cable - 1 - from the lever/shift rod by hand.

-

Take care not to bend or kink the selector lever cable.

-

Disconnect the connector from multifunction transmission range switch (F125).

-

Remove the nut - 1 -.
