CAUTION!
Shift the selector lever into the "P" position and engage the parking brake before working with the engine running.

Shift Handle with Cover

‹› Handle, removing and installing. Refer to => [ Selector Handle with Cover ] See: Selector Handle With Cover.

‹› Manual release, refer to => [ Selector Lever Manual Release ] See: Procedures/09M,09MA Transmission. 

‹› Before removing, pull the button out beyond its pressure point and secure it with tape. This prevents the button from being pushed into the

handle accidentally.

‹› If the button is pushed in when the handle is removed:

-

Just before installing, pull out the button beyond the pressure point (sense this by touch).
