Cylinder Block

Sealing Flange

‹› Removing and installing, refer to => [ Sealing Flange, Transmission Side ] See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Cylinder Block

Assembly/Crankshaft Seal Retainer/Service and Repair.

Seal

‹› Remove using pulling hook (T20143/2).

‹› Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) version of the oil seal.

‹› Do not lubricate or grease the sealing lip on the oil seal.

‹› Before installing, remove any remaining oil from crankshaft with a clean cloth.

‹› Installing, refer to => [ Sealing Flange Seal, Transmission Side ] See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Seals and Gaskets/Crankshaft Main

Bearing Seal/Service and Repair/Sealing Flange Seal, Transmission Side.

Bolt

‹› 60 Nm + 90° (1/4) additional turn.

‹› Replace

‹› To loosen or tighten, use counter hold tool (T10044) (with 5 mm spacers), or Counter holder tool (T10069).
