Using a flat blade screw driver, lift damaged or broken friction pad(s) up and away, see figure 1.

Snap new friction pad(s) Part No. 3C0861597/598 in place, see figure 2.

Handle Replacement

If sun shade handle is damaged, or if sun shade handle screw cap is missing, replace with the following:

Handle Part No. 3C0862565

Cap Part No. 3C0861335

Remove cap

Remove screw and handle.

Once repairs to sun shade are complete:

Reassemble guide rails and both "C" pillars, see Repair Manual Group 68 Interior Equipment, Sunshade
Removing and Installing in ElsaWeb.

Ensure proper sun shade operation.

Tip:
When sunshade is in the up position, the handle must be tilted forward to allow for proper engagement into guide rail latch.
