Windshield and Headlamp Washer Fluid Reservoir Upper Section

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1783)

Removing:

-

Switch ignition and all electrical consumers off and disengage the key or ignition switch in position 0 (ignition off).

-

Remove front bumper cover.

-

Remove right front wheel housing liner.

-

Remove the right headlamp. Refer to => [ Headlamps ] See: Lighting and Horns/Headlamp/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Headlamps.

-

Bring the lock carrier into service position. See: Body and Frame/Lock Carrier

-

Remove bolts of fuel filter bracket and set it aside with lines connected.

-

Unclip all lines from the reservoir upper section - 4 -. 

-

Remove the mounting bolts - 1 -, - 2 - and -  3 -.

‹› To access the mounting bolt - 2 -, it may be necessary depending on equipment to loosen the line bracket of the pipes routed above it.

-

Remove the mounting bolt - 7 - from wheel housing. 

-

Remove the reservoir upper section - 4 - vertically from the rubber grommet - 6 - on the reservoir lower section -  5 -.

-

Remove the reservoir upper section from the vehicle.

Installing:

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

-

Install the reservoir upper section - 4 - vertically into the rubber grommet - 6 - in the reservoir lower section.
